Croatia Injuries reported in 6.3 magnitude Earthquake near Zagreb

Today strong earthquake of magnitude 6.3 has hit Croatia near the capital Zagreb.

Croatia is located in Central and Southeast Europe, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. It borders Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the southeast and Slovenia to the northwest.

Initial reports suggested the Earthquake caused widespread damage, collapsing roofs, facades, and even some entire buildings.

TV footage showed firefighters trying to remove the debris from a car buried underneath a collapsed building in the town of Petrinja.

The News of regional N1 station said a man was apparently in the car when the Earthquake hit.
